GLASSHOUGHTON COLLIERY v LEEDS UNITED RESERVES
The Leeds team opened strongly, and Davies was tested by shots from Hill and Farrear. The home team attacked, and were awarded a penalty, but Lockyer failed to score. Leeds pressed and with smart footwork Hill scored from short range. The visitors were superior at this stage and Clitheroe and Hill scored after good passing movements. The home team then gave the visitors a warm time. Their inside men shot wildly. United transfreered play to the other end and Bennett and Magnall both shot wide from an easy position.
